Do we take the time to stretch or use a foam roller? Being a Crossfit coach I alway hear how tight or sore people are, yet they do not take the extra time to stretch out. As I have gotten older and the aches and pains don't leave the minute I leave the gym. I now take my time to roll out my sore spots and stretch.
Using a foam roller really helps release the tissue and lengthen the muscle. My IT bands are always so tight and just letting the foam roller release the tension helps my workouts feel much better. Next time you go to the gym give it a go. It cant hurt to feel a little better :-)
